Soft Beauty

She fell so naturally into my arms,
Like a flower to the sun,
Igniting within the crevices of my soul,
The hearts deepest desires.

How could she be real, I thought,
My dreams could never paint something so majestic,
Mesmerized everytime I look at her,
Her smile lighting up my world.

Music tumbled from her pretty lips,
Sweetness of angels alike,
A glance at the glow of her eyes when she smiles,
And my heart danced like a daisy in her hands.

Now let me be your sunshine,
Brightening up your days,
But also your moonlight,
Reaching you in the darkest of dismays.

Say yes and we can scale the highest of mountains,
Dance with me into eternity,
Nothing could ever compare to you,
You’re just perfect to me.

Lady Luck

Colouring joyous skies,
With pretty sunsets and golden hue.
Cometh the night I hear them sing,
Oh the stars, they only ever speak of you.

I remember dreaming of her,
Radiant, serene and all smiles.
Gracious as ever, a Goddess in white,
If beauty were inches, she’d go on for miles.

Like a bird upon a branch,
She sat so elegantly.
I knew right from the start,
She was the one for me.

Looking into those beautiful brown eyes,
I get these butterflies.
Just a glance at those honeypots in sunlight,
And it makes my heartbeat rise.

Our souls were born together at the beginning of time,
Take my hand and we can fly.
The only place where my heart shall ever be stuck,
Is in her hands, my dear Lady Luck.

Her Eyes

It was a quiet night,
The sky full of stars and the ocean swirling with life,
I could hear the calling of the ocean breeze,
As she came and sat next to me.

As I looked into her eyes, so deep and brown,
I could almost feel myself drown,
Never believed in magic until I saw her eyes,
To live in them forever, that’s my paradise.

Everytime i stand before her,
They whisper to me,
Casting a spell of wonder,
Holding me prisoner, for eternity.

Stars

Looking up at the clear sky,

I got immersed

In the endless galaxies of countless stars

Mesmerized I fell,

Into a trance

Deeper than the ocean.

In a parallel universe,

They took me back to the beginning of time,

When their sight

Was the only source of light,

In the darkness

Of this dull world.

But the stars, they slowly disappear,

Taking the light with them,

Like a departing lover

Leaving my world cold as ice

Lamenting I always wondered why it haunted me,

Until I knew, they reminded me of your eyes.

IF ONLY YOU COULD SEE

If only you could see what I was,

And not what I became.

If only you could see,

That which cannot be seen.

If only you could see,

The truth in my eyes.

You’d know what really lies behind.

You fell in love with my summer,

Basking in the glow of the sun,

Mesmerized by the beauty

Of everything, second to none.

We fought through the monsoon rains,

Besting every storm that came our way,

Then why did we still fall apart

Like twigs in the hay?

And when came Winter,

You chose to leave,

This little house we had built,

With our memories and our belief.

“Nothing can be done now” you said to me,

I couldn’t help but wonder,

How it was so easy,

As I descended into a spiraling slumber.

If only you could see me again,

As the one who discarded his treasures to talk to you.

If only you could see me again,

As the one who was always there for you.

If only you could see me again,

As the one who would bring down the Moon for you.

Perhaps then you would stop seeing me,

As the monster I once became.
